· If your child was marked absent in a class and was actually present, please have your child talk to the teacher and ask them to email Veronika to excuse the absence, thank you.
Mr. Walker: Dean of Students
We know mornings can be busy, but safety is our top priority during student drop-off and pick up. Please allow ample time for a careful and unhurried drop-off/pick up process. Many students navigate through our parking lot on foot, so we kindly ask all drivers to remain vigilant and attentive to pedestrian traffic when entering and exiting the area.
To help streamline the process and ensure everyone’s safety, we’ve included a map below illustrating the recommended routes for student pick-up and drop-off. Following these guidelines will help create a smoother, safer experience for all.
Thank you for your cooperation in keeping our school community safe!
Here are some additional tips for a safe commute in the morning and after school.
· Be patient: Allow extra time and avoid rushing, especially during peak hours.
· Stay alert: Watch for children crossing or darting between vehicles.
· No double parking: It blocks visibility for other drivers and pedestrians.
· Pull forward: Move as far forward as possible in the drop-off/pick-up lane.
· Have children exit/enter on the curbside: This keeps them away from traffic.
· Avoid distractions: Put away phones and focus on driving and surroundings.
· Obey speed limits: Drive slowly in school zones and parking lots.
· Don’t block crosswalks: Keep them clear for pedestrians.
· Use turn signals: Communicate your intentions to other drivers.
· Consider carpooling: This can reduce traffic congestion around the school.
· No U-turns: These can be dangerous in busy school zones.
· Be weather-aware: Allow extra time and caution during inclement weather.
· Encourage walking or biking: If safe, this can reduce traffic and promote health.
