Welcome to the Galena High School Five Star Boosters/PTO’s official website. Galena High School is ranked a top 15 high school in the state of Nevada and is among the top 5 in Washoe County according to U.S News and World Report. GHS is known for its strong academics, including its PLTW STEM Academy, AP course offerings, Dual Credit classes, Athletics, Fine Arts and its strong school spirit. We are very proud of our 5 star ranking among WCSD High Schools.

The Five Star Boosters/PTO is an integral part of Galena High School. We work to create a positive learning environment by fostering a strong partnership between parents, teachers, and administrators. Funds raised by the 5-Star Boosters/PTO go directly to our Galena High School community to help provide essential programs and materials that benefit our students. Some examples include:

• Senior Scholarships
• Support for athletic programs and fine arts, including band from the sale of our Extracurricular Pass
• Support for academic activities and clubs
• Classroom support including math calculators, science materials, and a new sound system for band.
• Teacher Incentive gift cards and reimbursements
• Monthly Teacher Appreciation events
• Monthly Senior Activities events
