Dear Galena Families,
My name is Michelle Simmons and I am honored to be your Galena Five Star Boosters President for the 2026-2027 school year. I am excited for the opportunity to continue supporting the students, staff, and programs that make Galena such a special community.
The work of the Boosters goes far beyond fundraising. At its heart, the Five Star Boosters is about building a strong partnership between families, teachers, administrators, and the greater Galena community. Whether you volunteer at an event, attend a meeting, share an idea, support a fundraiser, or become a member, your involvement matters.
We hope that you will consider becoming a member or renewing your Five Star Boosters membership. Together, we can continue to provide meaningful opportunities, resources, and experiences that benefit Galena students.
Below are some of the projects and events the 5-Star Boosters has helped to fund:
- $11,000 Senior scholarships for the Class of 2026
- $11,500 to Athletics and Fine Arts from the sale of our Extracurricular Pass
- $1300 Teacher incentive gift cards and reimbursements
- $500 Speech & Debate
- $3500 Cameras for Art Department
- $4,500 for calculators for the Math Department
- $5,000 for a new traveling sound system for Band
- Monthly teacher appreciation events
- Monthly senior activity events
- Annual Booster/PTO fundraiser
- And More
