Galena Community Update October 15, 2025
Mrs. Nelson – Assistant Principal
- There will be no early release on Wednesday, October 29th due to elementary school conference week.
- Students in grades 10–12 are invited to take the ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery) on Wednesday, November 6th. While often associated with the military, the ASVAB is a free, comprehensive career exploration tool that helps students identify their strengths and explore potential career paths — both civilian and military.
Please Note: Test results are confidential and not shared with the military. They are for student use only, to support future planning and decision-making.
Mrs. Taylor – Counselor
- Just a reminder that if you are hoping to meet with your student’s counselor, please contact them to make an appointment first. The counseling team wants to make sure we are prepared for each meeting and have the appropriate amount of time allotted.
