• The WCSD Internship Application Window is Now Open! 
  Students can now apply for internships in a variety of exciting fields, including: 

Engineering 

Medical 

KUNR Youth Media

NEW: Girls on the Run 

Create your own Internship by finding a business who will host. 

• The PSAT will be administered beginning on October 16^th and continuing for several days.  Students who have signed up for the PSAT will be given a letter with their testing date and location.  

Ms. Sullivan – Bookkeeper  

• Senior Yearbook Ads are Due December 19th. They can be purchased @ the bookkeeper’s office or online at https://washoenv.infinitecampus.org/campus/store/washoe/school-store/92 

• The price of the yearbook will increase after Winter Break to $85.00. Buy yours today. We sold out of yearbooks last year. 

• All class fees can be seen and paid through your Infinite Campus portal. If you would prefer, you can stop by the bookkeeper’s office during the day or send payment in with your student. If you see a class fee that shouldn’t be on your student’s account, please email the bookkeeper at wlsullivan@washoeschools.net. 

Ms. Black – Librarian  

This week only there are 4 Galena groups participating in the Dolan Classroom Project award for $5,000. That could be $20,000 for our school! At the moment, however, we are not in the running but with your help we could be! Please follow this link and vote every day with every different email you have and see if we can gain some ground. Send the link out to family and friends as well! The groups are The Library, DECA, Robotics and Speech and Debate. We thank you for your support!

• October 15^th – FAFSA Workshop in the Library at 6:00pm – UNR and TMCC Financial Aid Representatives will be here to help with the application and answer any questions, click on the link to sign up FAFSA night sign up 

• October 16^th – Galena General Scholarship application OPEN! 

• October 20^th – Santa Clara University during 7^th period 

• October 23^rd – UNR Field Trip for seniors only –Sign up in the Career Center 

• October 24^th – Northwestern University at lunch 

• October 24^th – University of San Diego during 7^th period
